The Intima, theintima.org, published Sara’s poem, “What do the Dying Want,” and the story, “The Sun in Cannes,” in the March 2015 issue.

China Grove Journal, http://www.chinagrovepress.com/china-grove-a-literary-journal/, published Sara’s essay, “Bright Boy,” in their Spring 2015 issue.

Confrontation Magazine has accepted Sara’s story, “The Arrow of Time.”  Look for it soon and check out their website, confrontationmagazine.org.

H.O. W.  journal  is publishing Sara’s story , “Margaret of Achill“,   in its upcoming issue, #10.  Check out howjournal.com.  They not only publish good literature, the do good.

Sara’s short story “The Arrow of Time” was finalist for the Gertrude Stein Award.

Sara  presented at the Narrative Bridge Conference February 23-25 in Charleston, sponsored by the Medical University of South Carolina.

Finishing Line Press (www.finishinglinepress.com) is bringing out Brancusi’s Egg, a chapbook of Sara’s poetry. Poet Coleman Barks calls Brancusi’s Egg “….An amazing, fading-away, absolutely unique dance.  Very beautiful.”

Sara’s poem, “Lumbar Puncture” was commended by the judges of the 2011 Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine in Warwick, England.  Awards will be made Saturday, May 7th at the University of Warwick campus.    All winning poems will be anthologized.  For more information about the International Hippocrates Research Forum and to pre-order the Anthology, please go tohttp://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/med/research/csri/research/cpt/poetry/research.

Sara and Grey Brown, Literary Arts Director Health Arts Network at Duke Arts and Humanities, presented  a workshop on preventing re-traumatization in the writing workshop at the April Society for the Arts in Healthcare International Conference.

The Journal of Poetry Therapy accepted three of Sara’s poems for publication in its Volume 21, number 3 Edition, September of ’08.

An essay entitled “Tools for the Writing Workshop: Listening and Observing” is included in the book The Art of Grief: Uses ofExpressive Arts in Grief Support Groups, edited by Dr. Earl Rogers and published by Routledge, Spring 2007.
